Hello!

My name is Lauren Lloyd, but you can call me Lo! Recently, I took the plunge and quit my job as a PR pro–mainly garnering exposure for deep tech companies–left my apartment in Denver, Colorado and am jetting off to Southeast Asia with my boyfriend, Chasen.

Sounds like a familiar situation, huh? Probably. But, this will be my first time across any pond and tend to find myself in interesting situations, so should be a fun little journey.

Anyway, here’s a little background on my life to date.

I was born and raised in the most beautiful town (maybe biased, oh well), Hood River, Oregon. The small town is abundant with breweries and kite boarders. People, like my mom and dad, move here for the carefree, outdoorsy lifestyle. Think, waking up on an 85 degree summer day, going skiing, mountain biking, windsurfing, then heading down to Pfriem for a beer. Quick side note, if you ever find yourself in Hood and like IPAs, go snag one. It’s worth it, I promise. Anyway, it’s a hell of a place to grow up.

I started skiing when I was 2 years old and haven’t stopped since. Like any girl with tomboy tendencies, I ran track, played soccer, tried it all. Along the way, I broke upward of 14 bones (I told you, I am a natural klutz.) Ended up flying across the country for college and ran the 800 meter at Cornell University.

After graduation, I stayed with my Big Red herd and funneled down to “The City.” Turns out, Manhattan life wasn’t for me… Made my way to Colorado to officially begin my career in PR, and voila! Here I am, cruising around Asia.

Sitting still isn’t a strong suit. Stay tuned for a collection of our stories!
