Patong’s Bengla Road will forever be engraved in my memory. I’m not entirely sure if it is on the good or bad side of my memory, but regardless, unique. We heard it is imperative that you go out for the experience, so we did. The night started out casual, we had an okay meal (so far, we haven’t hit the jackpot on Thai food, which I historically love) and slowly sipped some drinks at the rooftop bar of our hotel. We stayed at the KEE Resort, which was SO nice, and if you ever have to face the dirtiness of Patong, I recommend staying here. Fantastic swim up bar, cozy big beds that are needed after the sweaty, dark experience that is Bengla Road, and rain shower heads. Anyway, back to our night.
It was the wildest night I’ve ever had in my entire life. We were the life of the party… or so we thought.
Needless to say, we were ready to get out of there. While it has the beautiful white sand beaches you think of when you think of Thailand beaches, it was littered with people. But, we had our eyes targeted on some jet skis.
We hopped on two of the high powered jet skis and had the best hour ever. We were able to explore more of Phuket than just nasty Patong, and were physically unable to wipe the smiles from our faces. The coves and clear, deep blue water were stunnning. We took a moment and jumped in to swim around, and I swear, the water was warmer than our hotel water.
Exhausted by our previous night’s escapades, we lounged in the pool the rest of the evening staying away from the usual Patong night time business.
In the morning, we left for Phi Phi Island, and are here now LOVING it. I’ll go into more detail later, but we are all living the cripsy life at the most beautiful beach in the world. Today, we’re going on Bob’s Booze Cruise for Chris’ big 25th birthday! I’ll let you know how it goes, along with our other adventures, soon!
